A knick-knack

One day a frog walked into a bank and asked about getting a loan. He was shown to an office and told that the loan officer would be with him in a minute. As he was looking around he noticed the name plate on the desk... it read, Paddy Whack. When Mrs Whack showed up, and after the formalities, the frog told her that he needed a large loan.....30,000 dollars to be exact. Some what taken aback, Mrs Whack hesitantly told the frog that with that amount he would have to put something up for collateral.
"Weelllll.....I don't have much in the world.....but I do have this!" the frog responded pulling out a pink glass elephant.
Taking the elephant Mrs Whack responded, "I will have to talk to the president before I can give you the money if this is all you can give for collateral."
Once in the presidents office, Paddy Whack explained what was going on and handed him the glass elephant. "I am not quite sure what it is so I do not know if I can use it for as collateral for a loan that large....."

After a moment of deep contemplation the president said....

"It's a knick-knack Paddy Whack give the frog a loan!"

A Scare and a Thrill

Yesterday while I was posting about heritage I almost had a heart attack! To all appearances my computer had deleted all of my pictures. Now I know you are thinking, HOW CAN A COMPUTER JUST RANDOMLY SAY, HuMMM..... I THINK I WILL DELETE ALL OF THE PICTURES?!?! Well when it comes to my computer nothing is a surprise, it really has a mind of its own. So instead of panicking I just shut it down and let it sleep for the night hoping it would all be better in the morning. AND guess what It was. So.... here are the promised pictures from Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of Heritage.

Good Times

Shoo!! The Heritage 2010 trip was Super-De-Duperdy AWESOME!!!(Pardon the uh....wordage :) The trip started at 5:30 on Monday morning... I did not even know that 5:30 came twice in a day! BUT it does and to all of our surprise Marissa was the first one at the church. Way to go Marissa! Since there were only eight young people going this year, all of us were able to ride in one van, making for a really interesting trip.

Welcome to COLORADO!!

Justin and Trenton catching some Z's

Carter D was wonderful the whole trip

Tuesday we spent the morning at the Alpine Slides. The slides are concrete troughs winding their way down the mountain (about 1/2 a mile). To get to the top we had to ride a ski lift thingy and once at the top we sat on a scooter type contraption and zipped our way down. NOTE: a wise thing to do is to read the instructions about operating the scooter. Other wise you are in for a crash course....literally.

Wednesday we visited the beautiful Royal Gorge. The scenery on the way to the Gorge was great, I love the mountains. Before we even got there most of us had decided that we were going to ride the Sky coaster that swings you out over the Gorge. I did it three years ago and it is an experience that I would not miss for anything. The worst part is when they pull you up to the top of the pole because you are laying face down and slowly pulled up 16 stories into the sky. After the first fall the ride is great! We flew out over the gorge with nothing holding us up but the cord attached to our harness. Too bad I was not able to take pictures of the ride ;)

Cant pass up a free ride on a Horse

The Girls...Sheila, Me, Brittany, Kristen, and Marissa

The whole clan

Wednesday night, Thursday, and Friday was spent in a whirlwind of getting ready for church, church services, eating out, and fellowshiping. The services were great, and just what I needed. Every message seemed to build on the previous. Here are a few pics....

oops...... come back later to see the pictures ;)

A little part of me

I have had my excitement at work for the month. For those of you who don't know I work Friday through Monday at a Vet clinic as a Vet Tech. Most of the time I really enjoy the work there, each day is always different and you never know what to expect. Today we had a full schedule, but none of the appointments were abnormal things, just annual shots, rechecks, staple removals, and allergy shots. Things were plugging along just fine until one of our feline friends decided that he wanted to take a souvenir home with him... in the form of a chunk of my skin. Needless to say I now have a nice puncture wound in the palm of my hand that throbs like crazy. In six months of working, this is the first time I have been bit....I hope it is the last time.

Wonder what would have happened if I had bit him back.........

Nine Years

I just realized today that last month marks the ninth year that I have lived in Oklahoma. We moved to the Ok state from Texas in 2001 when I was ten years old. On one hand it seems like I have lived here forever (almost half my life) but, my...my how time flies. Since moving to Oklahoma we have lived in a total of six houses, two apartments, and a trailer (that makes nine places just in case you could not add it up your self). Thankfully we have only attended one church, THE BEST CHURCH IN THE WORLD! Since moving here I have made some wonderful friends and great memories. If I were given the opportunity to go back undo our move to Oklahoma nine years ago I would not.

Let me see if I can find a few pictures from across the years...

New Post

Well it has been an act of congress to get my own blog going. I am not the most technical savvy person in the planet, and it takes me forever to figure things like this out. Now just for clarification purposes, the word insanity, as defined by Merriam-Webster (with a few modifications) is, such unsoundness of mind or lack of understanding preventing or removing one from criminal or civil responsibilities. So with that said I am not to be held responsible for anything posted on this blog.
