60th Post ~ YEAH!!!! ~ and a Lesson in Anatomy

Random trivia for you. Today's post on April 30th marks the 60th post on Moments of Insanity :)

I am sure that some day when one of my bloggies is on one of those game shows on the microwave this random fact will win them lots of money! Yep yep....guaranteed.

Now on to less serious things....Today I had a wonderful lesson in anatomy. Allow me to share some of my new found wisdom with you...

1. Death stinks....In more than one way. It took about two minuets after cutting open the abdomen for the smell to penetrate my massive nose hairs. But I must say my nose hairs will never be the same....it is a hard smell to describe but I would say it is a (cover the ears..I mean eyes..of any child reading) crappy (sorry I could not think of another word to use..stooly just does not work) sweet smell that slowly overpowers the senses. NOTE :If smells make you nausious dont eat lunch before helping with your next autopsy.

2. What causes Rigor Mortis? Rigor Mortis is one of the signs of death....kind of like the absence of pupil reaction to light and no pulse. RM is caused by the release of calcium from the bones into the muscles causing them to stiffen. After a while (several hours of death) the RM reverses its self. NOTE: RM makes it hard to fold a large animal into a small box.

3. Coagulation of blood ~ coagulation of blood is a fancy way to say clotting of blood. Once RM sets in the blood should be forming clots in the heart and in the veins. If this does not happen then it is possible that the individual was on or had gotten into someone elses blood thinners. NOTE: Because of the lack of blood pressure the puncturing of a major vein does not create a geyser, but it makes for a messy procedure.

Pop Quiz

Q#1. What happens when you flex your muscles?

Q#2. Where is the gall bladder located in a horse?

If you can answer these questions correctly I will give you a great big.....something.....

Something Old Something New......

Catchy title huh.....thanks. Now what it has to do with the post I donno :) Maybe you can supply me with something new in your life....cause mine is kinda stuck in a rut....School at the beginning of the week and work in the latter part of the week... school work school work school work.....but hey I am not complaining...

He he he he he cause school is OUT IN TWO WEEKS!!!!!! ES MUY BUENO!!!! Only one presentation and three finals to go!!! AHGHHHHHHHH!!! I am totally pumped...as if you could not tell. I am doing both of my final presentations on Anorexia and I must say it is a horrible psychological disease. One of the girls in my psych group had anorexia when she was in high school and she told us some of her story. She said that after the initial desire to lose weight it became a control issue for her. After a whole day of ignoring the hunger pains she would reward herself with a cracker...A CRACKER....As a result of ignoring the pains for so long she no longer feels hunger....at least not like we do....she has to set alarms on her phone reminding her to eat. Sad very sad.....but interesting....Oh something else, one of the groups did a presentation on schizophrenia...I think I know some one with it....:) no names ;)

Moving on, this weekend is Easter weekend and once again I find myself with a decision to make....

These

OR these.....

Sorry if you just wasted the time it took to read this post :) Your loss.....Maybe something spectacular will happen to me this next week so I can share it with you...(don't hold your breath)

Enjoy your week..

Go Take a Trip!

SOooooo long time no talk....type....sorry for being neglectful of you my friend. Truth is I have been in a sort of funk. BUT I will not go into that. Instead I will tell you of the good things in life....like....uh...hang on let me think........OH YEAH! Marissa had a birthday a week a Wednesday. So HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAREEESSSSAAAA! As a sort of celebration of my birthday on the 4th and hers on the 6th we decided to leave behind T-town and get out on our own....for the weekend :)

Marissa Brittany and I took a trip to Branson, Mo all by our lonesomes. I must say It was a blast...for the most part..huh Marissa:) We left Friday after we all got off of work and made it to Branson around 10:40. I was a little concerned about us making it there safely given the driving records that all of us so proudly hold...but we made it with out any MaJoR incidents.

Please dont ask if I was driving or not

NO SHE WAS NOT DRIVING... we stopped in the middle of the road;P

Saturday we spent the day in therapy sessions...I mean we went shopping. And Boy Howdy did we ever shop. I love shopping in Branson we found lots of good stuff

Here we are Saturday night .

Also on Saturday we went to Dixie Stampede. Let me say...I should have been a cowgirl:) I love the smell of a barn (not the dirty manure smell) the smell of hay mixed with horse and leather. The food was great and the show was even better. Unfortunately we dont have any pictures of us there at Dixie.

After the show and some more shopping we went to Dairy Queen for some more therapy... I mean for some ice cream.

This is one of the few serious pictures we took.

Sunday we did something very spiritual....we went to Silver Dollar City. It was a perfect day outside and the crowd was just right...not to many people but enough to make it fun to people watch.

SOrry the pictures are so fuzzy and small....es no bueno. Guess that is what I get for not taking pictures on my own camera

Yes that is the bathroom of our motel room....

Again at Dairy Queen

Of course we cannot take a trip with out taking a shoe picture....

On the way into Silver Dollar City

I am sure the people behind us were thankful for the free entertainment. In fact I am sure people all over Branson were entertained by us:)

NO Comments Please;O

As I said before we had a great time and plan on doing it again.....
