Birthday Wishes

Today is my mom's birthday. It is hard for me to believe that MY MOM is turning 48....I have her stuck at 42. Why 42, I dont really know, but when someone asks how old my parents are my automatic response is "42" and then I have to stop and say "oh wait no they are not....they are almost 50"...AGGGGHHHHH!!!!! My parents are turning old...lol JUST KIDDING....kinda =)

On a more serious note. I am so very thankful for my mom. She and I have not always gotten along and we have had our tough times, but over the last few years we have gotten closer. She has been there for me when my heart was broken and when I did not understand why things were not going the way I thought they should. At times she held me while I cried and other times we cried together. She has been a great example of a mother and a wife. I LOVE YOU MOM!!

Oh yeah ......................HAPPY BIRTHDAY =)

P.S I hope the TOMS I bought you fit....

Time Flies

My, My, how time does fly....Do you realize that we only have four months until Christmas?(YEAHZERS!!!! i love Christmas) On the other hand it has been only five months since I went to pick up Ramsey. I cannot believe how much he has grown, wiggled, and licked his way into my heart. This picture was taken two days before my twentieth birthday....

This one too...When I brought him home he was just a butterball of a puppy. He could not even climb up the back step.

NOW look at him...

Then....

AND NOW....

Ram and Chloe are best of friends...

In other news, school starts in three weeks and I am sooooooo ready! I know... I know, it was not to long ago that I was counting down the weeks until school was OVER...Now I am so board that I am looking forward to the start of school and a new routine. My classes this semester are, Computer Concepts, Art Appreciation, and Spanish I.

Last semester SHOULD have ended in me getting my associates degree, however I love school so much that I decided to cram two years of school in to three :)

CAMP!!!!!!

Can you say AWeSoME!!!!!! Now say it in a sing songy, slightly high pitched voice. Ok, now say it like that again but hold out the AAAwe soMMMee!! and that, ladies and gentlemen, is my definition of this years camp. Bro Andrew Howard did a wonderful job of challenging the campers to shake free of the chains that had been binding us and get a hold of God for our selves. I feel safe saying that this camp was one of those experiences where minds were made to live for God with our whole heart no matter who does or does not. God always feeds according to the hunger...he never sends his children away hungry.

Pictures you ask....of course I got pictures....not as many as years past but here they are

*SiGh*Marissa you need to work on your poker face. This was taken Tuesday morning before all the campers arrived.

Jessica and I at orientation...oh and Brooklyn too :)

Ahhhh! there she is...Miss Brooklyn herself.

Betcha cant pop my balloon..as a ice breaker we played a game where you had to tie a balloon around your ankle and do your best to keep it from getting popped while popping others balloons. I think Marissa won.

Adam Jonathan and I think that is Brandon....

Wednesday was Cowboy and Indian day so we all duded up and took some pictures....from left to right... Baily Marissa Kristen myself Brittany (the only Indian) and Shenay.

Sheriff Carter D cheesen for the camera... If this picture dont make you smile somethin be wrong with your smiler.

Riss and I

'Nuff said

Thursday morning the tiredness was just too much for Miss Ebony....should have skipped breakfast ;)

Baily and Brittany on Thursday in their nerd outfits...

Revenge of the Nerds.....Bro Short said "Take a goofy picture..." and this is what I got...

Best of the nerds...

Carter and I Thursday night after church with my helmet from the year I received camper of the year...

Brittany Marissa and I...I am pretty sure I could find a picture very similar to this from 04 if I looked really hard....

Thursday night the camp staff surprised us with a time of games and a small bonfire to roast marshmallows. One of the games was finding a life saver in a plate full of whipped cream...made for great pictures...

Traditional Friday morning picture...Marissa, some weirdo, Kelsi, and Brittany. Congrats to Kelsi for getting Camper of the Year!

Kristen squared :)

Oh yeah!!!!! Best meal EvER!!!! Sis Hope did a wonderful job as usual with preparing the food for camp. THANK YOU Sis Hope not just for the food but also for your burden for the young people..and us olduns:)

That would be all for now folks... I am off to my wonderful bed...in my own room...in my own home..with my own puppy dogs ;)

Catch Up

OOPPSSSS!!!! I am a little behind on the whole blogging thing. My apologies...dont get your doggies in a pile. Life has been a little...uh..busy, to put it mildly. Last Sunday was fifth Sunday which means that we had dinner and games after service (which was very good). After the softball game, Marissa, Brittany, Kristen, and I spent the night tye-dying socks and shoes, talking and pillow fights. Basically we acted like we were youngsters again ;)

Monday we dragged our tired tushes out of bed (or more realistically off the floor and mattress;) and headed to OKC for the day. Two words....FUN TIMES. Brittany has pictures of our adventure posted on her blog if you are interested...

Tuesday, I was pulled off of the couch and stuffed into yet another car and pointed south, to Texas. After spending a month with my family it was time to take my Grandmother home. My Grandmother is...a very .....interesting character. She is what you would call an active worrier. She will worry something in a circle until she makes herself sick..literally. And if you remove that worry from her mind she will actively go look for something else to worry about. At times this process is entertaining...at times....She is also one of the words best Cinnamon roll makers.

Side note: I am so sorry to those who did not get a roll this time. I promise you will get one the next time they come out of our oven :)

Wednesday, Mom and I headed home, but on the way we just had to stop in Allen TX for some shopping ;)

SO three days spent on my rump in a car (with some shopping and fun thrown in there) you would think I deserve a day off...nope. Thursday it was off to work for me. Two eleven hour days, a play, an eight hour day, another play, and a two hour day later it was Sunday again and time for church....Shooooooowwweeeee!

This, my friends, was a crazy week for me.

Till something earth shattering happens.....
